Dimetronic has been selected by Siemens Transportation Systems France as subcontractor for the supply of the signalling sub-system for the Line 1 of Algiers Metro which includes an underground line of 8,5 km, 10 stations and 1 Depot.
The contract was signed in October 2006 and includes the supply of 4 Electronic Interlocking WESTRACE type, Jointless Track Circuits FS3000 5K, Electrical Point Machines MD2000 as well as the optical signals and the corresponding signalling cables. The equipment of Dimetronic will be part of the Automatic Train Control System (ATC) of CBTC technology to be supplied by Siemens and is based on the same equipment and interfaces for Barcelona Metro Line 9, currently under execution between Siemens and Dimetronic.
It is foreseen that the Line 1 will enter into passenger service by February 24th 2009.
