RailCorp, operators of the Sydney suburban network, have been actively investigating Systems for improving rail safety. They awarded three companies contracts to conduct the trial versions of their ETCS train protection technology at various trial sites located in the Blue Mountains region of New South Wales. Over time, RailCorp will evaluate the compatibility and features of all three ETCS systems.
Dimetronic, due to the fact that have already commissioned ETCS systems has been able to provide training and support to WRSA engineers for developing its trackside design using Dimetronic’s systems.
WRSA’s track installation has demonstrated once more the brilliant characteristics of the Dimetronic’s ERTMS/ETCS system.
