Invensys Rail Group (IRG), group which Dimetronic belongs to, has acquired Quantum Engineering, Inc.based in Florida.
This Acquisition represents a new step in our strategy to grow in the development of our current business as well as to make strategic acquisitions which supports our capacity to offer a better technologic products and services to our customers.
Quantum Engineering was borne in 1988 in Jacksonville, Florida, and has around 115 employees. Quantum Engineering is a signalling and train controls company specialising in on-board equipment. Quantum is specialised in the design, manufacture and commissioning of onboard railway systems as telemetry systems, event recorders, resource tracking devices, controllers for optimising the fuel consumption and a very innovative product called TrainSentinel, which provides a low cost onboard control system for main line applications for US, and now become available for the rest of the world.
