On October 21, 2004 Dimetronic handed over according to schedule the complete Signalling and ATC systems for Line 2 of Manila’s LRTA, through its main contractor, Marubeni Corporation of Japan. The project includes 12 Km of double line between Santolan and Recto stations, with 9 intermediate stations, 18 two-cabin trains and a depot. The Philippines Department of Transport and Communications (DOTC) is seeking a credit from JBIC for the extension of the line from Pasig City to Antipolo City plus the procurement of four train units.
